Flex has become one of the most popular flash related software and is no wonder why. Since it’s creation, Flex has helped tons of web developers to create high quality action script applications and of course web sites. For those who have no idea about what Flex is – Adobe Flex is a software development kit released by Adobe Systems for the development and deployment of cross-platform Adobe platform. Flex applications can be written using Adobe Flex Builder or by using the freely available Flex compiler from Adobe.(from Wikipedia).

First of all you should understand why Flex. Like I said, Flex is an Adobe creation related to Flash which will help you to build more interactive and interesting web applications. Why do you need to do that? As a web developer you are interested in offering high quality services to all of your customers, and because the market requests are more and more based on action, you might want to see what Flex can do. Learn how to build a tetris game in flex. If you learn how to do this, the rest will appear simple and you will be able to learn much faster.

Remember that this 5 Flex Tutorials were created for beginners. The Flex builder is one of the newest Adobe creations so it hasn’t been promoted that well untill now. Don’t think that if it isn’t well know it isn’t powerful. Because Flex is removing the Frame Animation technique and is based only on Action Script code it makes it much faster and powerful.
