I have to admit that I’m a guy that watches tons of movies every week and I can say that is pretty hard to get amazed by an ordinary movie. With all of this, I can say that I’ve developed a good sense for high quality movies…so I can easily figure out from the start if a movie is good or not. This time, I’ve analyzed some of the top block busters of last years and decided to also include a toplist for most interesting and attractive designs of movie websites.

The sites are randomly displayed because I don’t want to be the one who starts a fight between movie fans. We all know about how Avatar fans (I’m one of them by the way) and let’s not forget about Twilight New Moon, which was definitely should be on top of the list if I would have to ask many of you, but this toplist is based on design and the impact of the website design for viewers.

1. Aliens Vs Predator Requiem 2007 - www.avp-r.com

Aliens VS Predator is not near my favorite movie, but we have to admit that the Fox Movies have created a pretty cool website for it. I really recommend you to view the Aliens vs Predator website in full screen. I’m sure you will like this site and for many of you will create real interest. The background music is pretty strange, but you it has a huge rolle in creating the mood.

2. Casino Royale 2006 - www.sonypictures.com/homevideo/casinoroyale

Sony Pictures are allways on top of movie creation. This time it seems like they have pretty good taste for website designs too. Yes, I like the Casino Royal movie, even though I’m not that much of a fan for James Bond movies.

3. Corpse Bride 2005 - www.corpsebridemovie.warnerbros.com

Corpse Bride is without a dubb the most funny movie website in this list and the position of navigation menu and the font used are the main reasons for combining fun with horror.

4. Daybreakers 2009 – www.daybreakersmovie.com

A very very creative website for the movie of which realease was on 8th of January this year. The trailer seems interesting and hopefully it is a good movie too. One thing is clear, the official movie website is awesome.

5. Harry Potter and The Half Blood Prince 2009 http://harrypotter.warnerbros.com/harrypotterandthehalf-bloodprince

We all love Harry Potter movie series and the last one, The Half Blood Prince was pretty interesting even though my friends are still crying because Dumbledore was killed and Harry is now without protection. Yeah… it was cool and it seems like the website is cool too.

6. Harry Potter and The Order Of The Phoenix 2007 www.harrypotterorderofthephoenix.com

The background image with – Bellatrix Lestrange, Lord Voldemort and Draco’s father, Lucius Malfoy creates the mood for a dark, mystic and magical movie and I’ve really appreciated that.

7. Ice Age 2 – The Meltdown 2006 - www.iceagemovie.com

Even if it is a 2006 movie and many of you consider it is very very old, I consider Ice Age 2 the best of the trilogy and also The Meltdown website has popped into my eyes.

8. Inglorious Bastards 2009 - www.inglouriousbasterds-movie.com

The movie has a 8.5 rank on IMDB so it is a pretty good movie. In my opinion I would rate it with 8, but for website I guess 8.5

9. Leap Year 2010 - www.universalpictures.com/leapyear

The most social media friendly movie website in this list. You might probably have seen the social buttons at the bottom. I’ve really appreciated the fact that they are willing to open their mind to get more feedback from users and also it is a simple and very pleasent design.

10. Matrix 2003 - www.whatisthematrix.warnerbros.com/thematrix.html

The Matrix movie had a huge impact over SF movie fans and I can say that I liked it very much. The Matrix code is on every step on the website and also the code is the one from which cool images emerge.

11. Monsters Vs Aliens 2009 - www.monstersvsaliens.com

Yeah, I know that most of you will say that Monsters VS Aliens is ment for kids but you have to admit that is pretty original and also the website comes with great flash animations as you can see in the preview bellow.

12. My Bloody Valentine 3D 2009 - www.mybloodyvalentine3ddvd.com

Cool 3D Movie and also it seems like the website was designed in flash for 3 dimensions. You can move the main character in 3d and also on background you can see very realistic shoots from My Bloody Valentine 3D which is btw a great horror movie.

13. Princess and the frog 2009 - http://disney.go.com/disneypictures/princessandthefrog

Yet another movie for kids which has get into the IMDB Toplist and enjoyed top levels for a pretty long time. “The fairy” world from the movie can easily be previewed in the website and I think that this is a good thing. The Princess and the Frog website also has great animations and easy website navigation system.

14. Sherlock Holmes 2010 - http://sherlock-holmes-movie.warnerbros.com

Is on top of IMDB Movie list with a $9.82 million income generated over the weekend and a $180 million gross. The trailer is very very interesting and I guess it will be one of the top movies of 2010. The Sherlock Holmes website is awesome too. Very simple and professional created, the website is social media friendly with a cool navigation menu and tons of useful information about the movie not to say about the background music which is the one who gets you in the movie mood.

15. Sweeney Todd 2007 - www.sweeneytoddmovie.com

To be honest, I haven’t seen the movie, but the website is very cool and the surprize elements all over the screen makes it more interesting.

16. The Blind Side 2009 - www.theblindsidemovie.com

Based on a great true story, The Blind Side movie is a very touching movie and Sandra Bullock has a huge rolle in this. The website is minimalist and the information about the movie can easily be accesed.

17. The Dark Knight 2008 - http://thedarkknight.warnerbros.com/dvdsite

One of my favorites movies of 2008. Batman, with a 8.9 rank on IMDB and also with a great success at top box office got into my head with this great website. Take a look and I’m sure you will like it too.

18. The Grudge 2 – 2006 - www.sonypictures.com/movies/thegrudge

I’m a fan of Japan and everything created by them and also an anime fan so I can say that is a good movie with great action and the website is even cooler.

19. Legion 2010 - www.legionmovie.com

In this case, The Legion official website has a huge huge rolle in describing the movie. Only by looking at the main background on the website I can tell that The Legion will be one of the most high rated movies of this year.

20. The Ring 2002 - www.thering.jp

A good movie with a good website, unfortunately I didn’t understand why the official version of the website is on a .jp extension domain.

21. The Unborn 2007 - www.theunbornmovie.net

Mega creepy movie and actually I’m not a big fan of The Unborn movie, but I have to admit that the website is very well designed.

22. The Uninvited 2009 - www.uninvitedmovie.com

This is a movie created by same producers as Disturbia and The ring so is based on similar ideas. The website is very creative and also the scarry background and the creepy menu are the ones that help you to be introduced into movie fever.

23. Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen 2009 - www.transformersmovie.com

Amazing 3D artwork and very interesting action and also cool acting Megan Fox . The website is uberawesome and it brings into the spots the idea of war between powerful worlds, robots and mankind.

24. Twilight The New Moon Saga 2009 - http://www.twilightthemovie.com

Twilight New Moon is the one responsible for the hysteria over teenage girls over the world and tons of fans of Robert Pattinson and Tyler Lautner. The movie is better than the first one in my opinion and I can say that the official movie website is great, I like it and is very creative.

25. Underworld: Rise of The Lycans 2009 - www.entertheunderworld.com

Another horror movie which I didn’t get to see yet. Without a dub most of the websites in this list are horror or vampire related…no wonder why. They are creative and pretty inspiring actually.

26. Up In The Air 2009 – www.theupintheairmovie.com

I haven’t saw the movie, but I know the Juno and the Thank You For Smoking movies from same director, Jason Reitman and I can say that those ones were pretty good and funny. The website is very interesting and cool and is based on the idea of an actual airport, in order to reacreate the movie idea.

27. 2012 – released in 2009 - www.sonypictures.com/movies/2012

The movie which presents the end of the world and on which there were lots of speculations and impressions. 2012 was one of the most wanted movies of 2009, and I can say that is a good movie too. Unfortunately, I can’t say that the website is as good as the Avatar movie site, but is a pretty good one.

I really appreciate this movie for originality and the story and in this case the movie gets a better rank than the official website.

29. Avatar 2009 - www.avatarmovie.com/index.html

Finally I managed to get here. Avatar!! Without a dubb, Avatar is the most wanted movie of 2009 and let’s face it! It is a gourgeous movie based on a 100% original idea. There has been more than 5-6 weeks since Avatar is on the top of the list at IMDB Toplist of earnings with a Gross earnings of $492 million. The amazing and captivating world created by the director James Cameron can be found on the website which is actually a pretty good website and it is easily expressing the Avatar movie professionalism.

30. Angels and Demons 2009 - www.sonypictures.com/homevideo/angelsanddemons

The Da Vinci Code’s younger brother, Angels and Demons is a very interesting movie based on same theme as Da Vinci Code, but with a cooler website which is also social media friendly and with cool background music.

31. The Da Vinci Code 2006 - www.sonypictures.com/homevideo/thedavincicode/index.html

Even Though there are lots of speculations about the movie and religioous people say that it should be forbidden, the Da Vinci website is very well designed and also very creative.
